Over the last millennia our stunning natural beauty and iconic landscapes have been shaped by family farms and rural businesses. Come and discuss how our farms, food businesses, rural communities and the environment can flourish and be vibrant as we face the opportunities and challenges of change. The day will start with two inspiring speakers: Caz Graham, rural broadcaster and writer and John Sentamu, Archbishop of York, followed by a time for questions. After lunch, join one of the group sessions led by Sarah Dunning (The Westmorland Family) Will Cockbain (Hill Farmer) Richard Leafe (Lake District National Park) and Sandra Booth (University of Cumbria). Lent Bible Studies. St George’s United Reformed Church warmly invites you to join them on Tuesdays at 2.30 pm. Studies will last approximately one hour and refreshments will be served. 13th & 27th February, 6th & 13th March at St George’s, 20th February & 20th March in the Tower Room at the Cathedral.

8.00 am. Holy Communion at St Cuthbert’s.
10.30 am. Short service at St Cuthbert’s for blessing of Palm Crosses where we will be joined by the Cathedral, St Aidan’s and St George’s URC after which we process to the Cathedral for a Palm Sunday Service of Sung Eucharist.
6.00 pm. Stations of the Cross at St Cuthbert’s Church.
